Summary of the most important actions to take

If you are a pupil being bullied,  

It’s not your fault that you are being bullied.  
You don't have to face this on your own.

You must tell someone, maybe a friend first.  
A teacher or a parent must be told.  

If you are another pupil who knows that bullying is happening to someone,

  q       Persuade the person to talk to a teacher or a parent.

  q       Encourage the person being bullied to talk to you.

  q       Offer to speak to a teacher or a parent on the bullied person's behalf.

  q       Post an anonymous bullying report slip to the office with brief details.

 If you are a parent and you suspect or know bullying is happening,  

q       Please contact your child's guidance teacher or, if unavailable, any member of the Senior Management Team.

q       If there is any difficulty in making contact, insist that your youngster has a problem and that you need to speak to someone.
