Winlogo

Notes On Topic                                               

Winlogo is a computer language, which allows you to give the computer instructions it will understand.  You will learn how to program your computer to draw shapes and patterns.  

  By the end of this topic you should be able to the following: 

* Basic commands to move the turtle forward, back, etc

* Basic commands to turn the turtle from left to right

* Drawing shapes using straight lines

* Drawing squares, triangles, hexagons etc

* How to use the repeat command

* How to add colour to shapes and patterns

* How to do various procedures

* How to do procedures with variables                 

* Recursion

* The Logo Challenge 

If you are unsure about any of these, make sure you ask your teacher.  You can come along to room 12 on Tuesday and Thursday at lunchtime or room 4 on a Wednesday at lunchtime.
