French
can be taken in S3 or S5/6 as a beginner’s course. As we learn languages
in the same way, your knowledge of other languages such as German will
help you e.g the methods of learning vocabulary and grammar are the same.
You do not need to have studied any French before, the course starts with
the basics. After Intermediate 1 you can progress to Intermediate 2, then
Higher, then Advanced Higher as part of the Higher Still programme. Here
